Why You Shouldn't Pick Awareness Campaigns For Meta Ads

I’m not a big fan of the awareness campaigns in Facebook, as I feel brand awareness should be a direct result of good marketing.

Many business owners will use these campaigns to increase brand awareness, but not to drive sales.

Which is usually... The whole point of advertising.

While it may increase the amount of people who know about your business, it isn't the most effective way of getting people to buy.

If your business goals aren’t to make money, then by all means choose awareness campaigns. But the majority of businesses want to increase sales, so stick to lead generation campaigns.

LEAD GENERATION CAMPAIGNS?

“Lead generation? But I want sales now!?”

We can do both, by simply giving both options to the audience.

You can do this by creating an article or video, and simply asking them to read or watch.

With an article, make it so they have to provide an email before receiving, then give them the option to buy at the end of the article.

This way you either get the sale, or have the email of someone who’s interested in your services/product.

With a video, just ask them to watch it. With today's technology, like Google and Meta ads, you can track who watches your videos online.

You just follow the same process as the article, give them the option to buy at the end of the video, or in the description below the video. 

If they want to buy, they will! And if not, then you know that whoever watches the video may be interested in what you have to sell.

You can retarget these people with an offer using Meta's retargeting abilities.

To sum things up, you can use this information to determine if you should use awareness campaigns or not.
